About the Role

The key purpose of this exciting Business Unit Director role is to provide leadership and implementation expertise to the Capital Labs enterprise. This newly created role will be paramount in formulating and executing a strategic business plan to:

• Develop the CapitalLabs commercial and market acquisition strategy and drive business growth;
• Create brand awareness amongst the biotech, life science and the entire spectrum of the investment community, with an objective to position CapitalLabs as the leading global life science crowdfunding platform.
• Identify and establish an effective multi channel lead generation strategy to attract and build a database of investors, with an objective of building a liquid funding platform with strong investor depth and spread;
• Collaborate with marketing and other stakeholders and business partners, internal and external to manage and actively participate in the continued development of the online platform;
• Attract and build a pipeline of innovative life science companies seeking to list on the platform; and
• Ensure the company is governed and managed effectively, efficiently and ethically.

About You

To be successful in this ground-breaking role you will be a degree qualified leader with an understanding of digital economies, an entrepreneurial spirit and the following demonstrated experience;

• Senior management experience leading and growing a business in a new or challenging market;
• Successful track record formulating and implementing strategies to develop, grow and transform businesses;
• Extensive business development experience; prospecting and cultivating relationships and closing deals;
• Capitalising on new market segments; and
• Understanding the benefits and mechanics of capital raising.
