My client is a universally recognized Global Bank who have extended their market presence across ANZ in the last decade leveraging off their strong presence in the APAC region. In line with their expansion plans a new role of Risk Advisor has been created within their Sydney HQ Operational Risk Department.
The role will report directly into the Head of Operational Risk
The main duties of the role will be as follows:
- Support the delivery of the Operational risk management framework
- Prepare periodic risk reporting
- Support risk profile maintenance such as tying back events to the Risk & control self assessment and make sure the business units are aware of changes to their risk profile
- Liaise with self inspection team to ensure frameworks are adhered to
- Develop training material and maintain periodic training sessions throughout the ANZ region
- Support different business units in maintaining their risk profiles
- Maintain integrity of risk profiles and associated registers
To succeed in this role you will require the following skills and attributes;
- 2-3 years post degree experience in the local Operational Risk/Internal audit space (Lines 1,2 &3) within the local Banking market
- Experience with self inspection/Controls assurance or Audit methodology
- Knowledge of Controls environment within Banking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A strong teamwork ethic
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Demonstrated capability of planning, executing and reporting on self inspection/controls assurance/audit engagements
