Our client is currently looking for an Data Policy Manager on a full time basis. Reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer (CDO) your main responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing internal policies, interpreting in order to impliment practical operational solutions such as defining and implementing key controls
- Advising the business in complying with all data related external regulations and internal policies for example APRA EFS, BCBS 239, CPG 235, Open Banking
- Reviewing key controls to ensure they are working effectively, and redefining in line with regulatory changes.
- Implementing the new Data Sharing Approval Process (DSAP)
- Working with Legal and Regulatory Compliance to implement the new Data Privacy Target Operating Model
- Other ad-hoc projects on behalf of the COO as needed
To be successful in this position you will need:
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a data management OR a policy advisory related role
- Excellent planning, organising and commercial skills
- The ability to build and drive relationships across multiple business lines, and educate where required to deliver risk based decisions
- prior experience working in risk management including techniques to mitigate risk.
- Exposure to data privacy regulations desirable
