Powerwrap is a unique wealth management company that delivers a comprehensive suite of investment administration and shared services to clients of varying levels of sophistication and needs.  We are seeking a Reconciliation Analyst to join our growing, innovative and dynamic organisation.

Reporting to the Manager Onboarding and Portfolio Services, the successful candidate will join an established, high performing team to support the onboarding of clients, asset transfers and where relevant account closure processes.  

Your responsibilities will include but would not be limited to:

  • Investment, Super and Pension account opening managed in a timely manner in line with Compliance regulations, pds and market regulations.
  • Able to identify requirements for various entity accounts and different regulations. Understand and able to explain the purpose and requirements of various documentation.
  • Process transfers requests in a timely manner liaising with third party vendors, custodians, fund managers, clients and dealer groups co-ordinating requirements for different asset classes and counter parties in line with industry standards and regulations, both CHESS and Corps act
  • Process ASX listed securities transfers, managed funds and International securities
  • Complete Off Market transfer forms correctly and fully, process both CBO and NCBO transfers and update cost base history
  • Manage the complexities of off boarding a client, by working with other departments, third party vendors and dealer groups to ensure a timely account closure.
  • Disposing of assets in the requested manner, ensuring closure process is followed and all relevant tasks completed, then close off the account.

Our key selection criteria:

  • This position requires a pro-active approach, independently carrying out the duties of the position. 
  • Experience in asset transfers (off market transfers / in specie transfers, HIN transfers & conversions, CHESS messaging).
  • Experience in account administration, including basic knowledge of AML / KYC requirements, FATCA & CRS / W-8Ben, customer due diligence, market rules, customer service & relationship, experience in dealing with external and internal customers.
  • Solid understanding of platform systems (Praemium and others).
  • The ability to effectively manage own time and multi-task with attention to detail is critical to this role.
  • Highly developed organisational, communication and written skills, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel/Access and PowerPoint packages.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and high level oral and written communication essential for establishing and maintaining effective relationships
  • Strong team player and “recognition that Powerwraps overall success is more important than the component parts

You must exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, good judgment, and an ability to take initiative, and prioritise daily tasks.

You should work well with other team members and colleagues to share important financial information and achieve outcomes and deliverables in a timely manner. Your ability to hit the ground running and assimilate into the existing team and workflows will be highly regarded.
