Purpose of the role
The Lead Client Relationship Manager is responsible for the effective leadership of the advice support team (i.e. Client Relationship Managers (CRMs), concierge teams and reception staff) to ensure high quality service to clients and operational effectiveness of the client service team.
Main focus areas
- Manage the workflow and service standards of all members of the support team.
- Ensure advice is delivered in accordance with Advice standards, ensuring adherence to internal client service standards.
- Ensure that all client service related procedures are documented and consistent with practice.
- Deliver a high standard of client service, reflected through high scores for client satisfaction.
- Co-ordinate and facilitate training and induction for all members of the support team.
- Provide coaching, guidance and mentoring to all members of the support team; manage their performance and development.
- Recruit new team members as required and process onboarding and offboarding
- Ensure all required compliance standards, processes and policies are met.
- Contribute to the implementation of AMP Advice initiatives, including project work arising from industry change, growth strategies (such as acquisitions or integration) and new products, advice offers or product features.
Experience required
- Solid experience within financial services, with experience within a financial planning firm.
- Experience in working in client-facing roles within financial services
- Experience in directly managing an operational team preferred.
- Ability to communicate well with financial advisers and other stakeholders
- Strong operational skills with a capacity to translate plans into implementation activities.
- Interest in leadership, team mentoring and coaching.
- Experience with P & L
- Strong on systems and processes
- Experience with XPLAN desirable
Qualification/s required
Academic credentials within a related field; Diploma of Financial Planning, or RG146 qualification preferred, but not essential.
