About your team
Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future to our 10 million + personal and small business customers.
The RBS Strategy and Analytics department delivers customer centric insights and analysis through effective partnership with clients and applying advanced analytics techniques to support data-driven decision making. Within this team, the role of Senior Analyst aims to deliver actionable insights through complex data manipulations, allowing the business to maximise growth opportunities and customer satisfaction outcomes.
Your role will include:
- Critically evaluating the stated business problem and uncovering the underlying root cause;
- Designing a structured analytics plan with minimal support from manager;
- Effectively managing time and resources (including codes, data and knowledge) to balance value vs. effort;
- Owning and leading communication with stakeholders on project status and findings;
- Leveraging analytical expertise and experience to deliver high quality insights independently; and
- Coaching other team members on areas of expertise.
What does success look like?
- 3+ years' experience in business analytics, marketing sciences, campaign analytics, business intelligence or related area;
- Advanced knowledge of analytical software tools and technology, in addition to statistical modelling techniques;
- Experience with SQL is essential;
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence/Analytics software for reporting and analysis, leveraging SAS, SPSS or R;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to articulate both strategic direction and tactical execution; and
- Tertiary education in a STEM field is desirable.
