Due to the continued growth of ING we are looking to add to our team of highly skilled and passionate Residential Credit Assessors. Known internally as 'Credit Assessor Level 1', in this role you will be responsible for the credit assessment of residential mortgage applications for new and existing customers within your allocated Delegated Lending Authority.

• Assessing new or existing customer loan applications within DLA or recommend for approval if no DLA is held
• Assessing reworks and variations
• Assessing of consumer lending applications
• Attend to credit decisions appeals
• Sign off on valuation reports within authority
• Attend to/respond incoming email and phone
• Update internal/external stakeholders with loan status enquiries
• Follow up and request information from stakeholders
• Provide support to internal teams as required

• HSC or equivalent
• Intermediate MS Office skills
• Previous experience in the finance industry
• Knowledge of the mortgage processing process
• Exposure to a credit environment and understanding of credit assessment practices
• Experience in a customer focused environment
• Understanding regulatory requirements
• Team player
• Strong communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Strong problem solving skills
