Business Banking is one of the key strategic growth areas for Bankwest Business and services business customers nationally. We currently have opportunities within our Perth head office for Business Banking Relationship Managers. In these broad and challenging positions you will be responsible for the proactive sales & service management for a portfolio of customers with client business exposure circa $500K to $2M.

We are seeking Relationship Managers will are proactive, demonstrate a can-do attitude and are passionate and enthusiastic about what they do every day. You are performance driven and delivery focused and take pride in understanding customer needs and delivering an exceptional level of customer service. You are looking for a role that combines your natural flair for business development and relationship management activities.

Working closely with the Regional Manager you will be the point of contact for portfolio clients within the framework of the Business Banking model.

Your key responsibilities will include;

  • Meet both the proactive and reactive sales and service needs of the portfolio by completing transactions and proposals.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets as advised by management.
  • Maximise the profitability of the portfolio through an effective pro-active sales and call program.
  • Provide exceptional service levels to existing customers and a strong focus on customer retention.
  • Negotiate the collection of generic interest margins and fee structures at every possibility to maximise Bank income.
  • Support key business initiatives, e.g. Sales, Service & Risk Excellence.

 As the successful applicant you will display the following key skills and attributes;

  • Proven sales results including a desire to meet and exceed set sales objectives.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and high level of motivation.
  • Understanding of the requirements and needs of the SME segment.
  • Superior Business and Consumer lending experience.
  • Ability to complete full range of credit and customer maintenance/service submissions.
  • Superior product knowledge and understanding of loan pricing/structuring.
  • Ability to welcome and embrace change in processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and have strong time management skills.
