We are currently recruiting an Trade Finance Operations and Executive to continue the development and roll-out of our policies, procedures and execution of trades.  This role is suited to someone with an Operations background in Trade Finance within the finance or the SME market. This position works closely with and reports to the Director.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Operations 

Risk and Compliance

  • Develop, maintain and review policies and procedures to ensure the smooth onboarding and lifecycle of all clients
  • Oversee the implementation of all policies and procedures to ensure scalability across the loan book
  • Act as the Compliance Officer, ensuring all staff members are fully trained and aware of their responsibilities around Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) and Trade-Based Money Laundering, and preparation of reporting to AUSTRAC
  • Act as the Privacy Officer, ensuring all staff members are aware of their responsibilities around privacy and data protection

Administration

  • Manage the funding process for clients – preparation of Commercial Invoices with Director's approval
  • Be the point of contact with the insurance company, registering Grow's security interests on the Personal Properties Security Register (PPSR) and general adherence to the trade credit insurance policy
  • Set-up of ASIC and Equifax alerts to monitor company and director/shareholder movements for clients
  • Perform director and company searches to assist with the onboarding of new clients
  • Assist the Director and Sales team with day-to-day client queries and tasks

 

Skills and experience

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Compliance and regulatory knowledge
  • Ability to hit the ground running and work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Collaborative influencer who can build and foster relationships with team members, clients and introducers
  • Solution-focused keeping the company's best interests front of mind

 

Experience Required

  • 3 + years working in Trade Finance field , or finance in the SME market
  • Understanding of business operations
  • Identification of customer needs and delivering solutions to meet those needs

 

Experience Desired  

  • Tertiary qualified in management, accounting, economics, marketing or business related field
  • Trade or Debtor Finance experience
  • Previous experience in a company experiencing rapid growth with the ability to adapt to ever-changing needs
  • Knowledge of AML/CTF and Privacy obligations and requirements
  • Ability to manage and maintain a database
