As a result of maternity leave cover, an exciting 9 month secondment opportunity currently exists to champion Xero’s Financial Web vision within tier 2 and fintech Australian financial institutions with a view to driving down costs and opening up new revenue opportunities.

In this role, you will work with a dynamic team and the Xero business more widely to establish and manage relationships with partner financial institutions. You will be responsible for improving customer experience through integration with financial services providers and own the ongoing enhancement of these integrations. Responsibilities will be focused on:

Integration Triage

  • Be the first point of contact for new Financial Web integrations into Xero ensuring the categorisation and level of support is agreed and the relevant areas within Xero are aware
  • When applicable manage the contracting process for the integration

Partner Relationship Management

For a small portfolio of tier 2 and fintech financial services providers, act as the main interface between the partner and Xero ensuring strong partnership communication, and coordinating an optimal level of service to be provided at all times across relevant Xero teams.

Working closely with partners in the your portfolio to determine their present and future needs and shaping suitable product and channel initiatives in order to deliver the best in financial services for our SMB customers, maintain and grow revenue for the organisation.

Manage stakeholder engagement with your Partner portfolio:

  • External: understand the drivers of your partners key decision makers, key areas of focus for their strategy and underpinning revenue
  • Internal: advocate for your partner across various collaborative functions including but not limited to developer evangelists, product, marketing, ecosystem, finance.

Bank Feeds Subject Matter Expert

Work collaboratively with other FinWeb AU team members to deliver a bank feeds strategy that addresses the market needs for Australia and positions Xero favourably for growth

Manage relationships within the Bank Feeds ecosystem eg data provider third parties, to convert leads from existing channels

Drive a project addressing the migration to direct feeds as part of the wider bank feeds and business risk mitigation strategy

Industry Level Project Management

Building on existing project delivery skills you will be asked to participate and/or drive initiatives that will strategically affect the direction for the Xero business and the revenues generated. This type of activity will be specific to the need at that point in time and support will be provided. In the first instance delivering a project to enhance Xero’s capability to bill partners is an apt example.

Success looks like

End-to-end relationship management of a small portfolio of tier 2 financial institutions including BAU operational management, opportunity identification, proposition development, implementation and tracking to targets. You will be the voice of your partners within Xero working effectively across relevant teams.

Successful partner integrations for relationships in your portfolio measured by customer experience uplift, number of connections, revenue growth and cost management.

What you'll need

  • Account management experience with a focus on collaboration, brand building and positioning
  • Excellent communication skills to build relationships and negotiate with various stakeholder groups
  • An ability to cope with change in a fast paced dynamic environment experiencing growth and expansion.
  • Innovative and passionate about making a difference
  • Understanding of cloud technology and web services as it relates to the financial services industry would be an advantage
