The Opportunity
Are you a developer who is dreams in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery? We have an opportunity for a Front End/UI developer to be part of our Marketing team here at Aon. You will be responsible for bringing to life the online experience for clients and prospective clients of Aon across a number of applications. A high impact role, your contribution will be directly measurable, and is focussed on increased conversion of customers online. You will work closely with creative and UI designers, marketing, offshore team members and local stakeholders.
You will be responsible for:
- Working closely with creative/UI designers and stakeholders across Aon
- Developing front-end, cross-browser compatible responsive web solutions
- Develop (from concept to completion) high quality, aesthetically pleasing user interfaces with an emphasis on mobile first designs
- Design and build front-end engineering solutions to enhance the customer journey.
- Build, refine, and test UI mockups for new and existing designs
- Be the bridge between creative and IT colleagues
- Drive change and deliver best practice solutions
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Ideally 3 to 5+ years’ experience of working in a front end or creative environment
- Advanced coding skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
- Experience with CSS pre-processors and responsive grid system
- Proficient in design software such as Photoshop/XD
- Adept at translating design and a solid understanding of UI/UX
- Proven experience of interpreting designs/wireframes into front end development in a fast and effective manner
- An understanding of SEO and Google Web fundamentals.
- Demonstrated experience in Front End QA/testing
- Experience in making decisions independently, as well as within a team environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small creative team
