A leading Australian Bank is currently seeking a Manager to support the Compliance team in the Wealth and Insurance division. This role sits in the 2nd line of defense and will have a real focus on stakeholder engagement, effectively managing and communicating the risks to the business.

The bank understands the need to invest to continuously improve the risk culture, both through talent and digitalisation. You'll have the opportunity work in a high performing, collaborative team whereby working towards best practice and people development is a priority.

Core responsibilities of the role include:

• Interpreting and applying the Compliance framework across both the Insurance and Wealth business units
• Continuously working with the Risk team to further develop policy, framework and software.
• Engaging stakeholders from within the business to promote the role of compliance, including taking a primary role in the training of risk management to educate decision makers

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Ability to constructively challenge, consult and advice on compliance issues
• Exceptional stakeholder management, with the ability to build and maintain working relationships within both the risk team and the wider business.
• Prior exposure to the Australian financial services with knowledge of regulations and obligations
• Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to prioritse and multitask
• Relevant industry qualifications
