The role:

We currently have an exciting new opportunity available for a resilient, personable and proactive individual to provide specialist guidance and support to help the business strengthen its control environment to further mitigate risk.

Utilising your knowledge and experience from previous audit or monitoring roles, you will assist the business to understand its risk, compliance and control environment by undertaking assurance testing to gain insights to the effectiveness of controls. You will partner with various stakeholders to understand business processes and provide recommendations for improvements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conduct testing over the effectiveness of the design and operation of internal business controls, in line with defined processes and timelines.
• Develop testing documentation, including the design of test scripts, to enable repeatable quality testing and assurance.
• Provide recommendations and reporting to the business and Risk Committees on the effectiveness of controls.
• Proactively engage business partners to understand, review and test current process controls.
• Provide effective support and instruction to stakeholders and assist with approved recommended actions to strengthen controls.
• Support the Risk and Compliance team to educate the business of Risk and Compliance frameworks, programs and policies.

Ideally, you will have a strong understanding and experience in audit or controls testing. Experience working in a high pressure and fast-changing environment, with the ability to be analytical and work autonomously across various compliance and assurance projects, is essential. You will be able to effectively manage workloads ensuring internal stakeholder expectations are met.

An understanding of superannuation or financial services would be highly regarded, but is not essential.
