ACSI is one of the major forces in responsible investment in Australia. Established in 2001, we exist to provide a strong, collective voice on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues on behalf of our members.

Our members include 38 Australian and international asset owners and institutional investors. Collectively, they manage over $2.2 trillion in assets and own on average 10% of every ASX200 company.

ACSI members believe that ESG risks and opportunities have a material impact on investment outcomes. As fiduciary investors, they have a responsibility to act to enhance the long-term value of the savings entrusted to them.

Through ACSI, our members collaborate to achieve genuine, measurable and permanent improvements in the ESG practices and performance of the companies they invest in. ACSI staff undertake a year-round program of research, engagement, advocacy and voting advice. These activities provide a solid basis for our members to exercise their ownership rights.

Reporting to the Executive Manager Governance and Engagement, this role is part of ACSI’s team who engage with Australia’s largest companies on key ESG investment issues such as governance oversight, climate risk, corporate culture and labour human rights issues. As an ESG Analyst, you will work producing research on material ESG issues in S&P/ASX300 companies and to achieve clear engagement objectives. This work underpins ACSI’s long-term goal of achieving measurable improvements in the ESG practices of the companies our members invest in.

This position will suit an applicant with analytical experience in investments, accounting or a related environment. Ideally, we are looking for someone to join our committed team, with a keen interest in improving the governance and sustainability of listed companies as well as promoting transparency and accountability in listed markets.

There will be a need to work flexibly at certain times to meet deadlines; however, ACSI actively supports flexible working arrangements where possible. ACSI's office is located close to transport in the Melbourne CBD.

Full details of the role can be obtained by downloading a position description from our website at www.acsi.org.au.

Please email your application to [email protected] by close of business on Friday 20 July 2018.
