Quantitative Analyst

Take on an exciting opportunity as a Quantitative Analyst within our Leasing team on a permanent basis. As a key member of the Decision Science team, you will be responsible for statistical modelling, data analysis and data profiling for quantifying various types of financial risks (e.g. credit risk, fraud risk, pricing risk) inherent in the company’s retail business.

You will develop application scorecards and other risk models like fraud models, behavioural risk models, utilising a range of statistical techniques. You will also be responsible for performing empirically derived analysis to understand business performance, identify improvement opportunities, and develop strategies and recommendations.

Part of this role will give you the opportunity to challenge existing processes and explore new techniques in model building and data analysis using advanced analytics techniques, like machine learning, to enhance our risk-related decision making.

Using your strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to translate technical detail into terminology that non-technical teams can understand you will be accountable for the accurate construction and evaluation of data, to communicate to your team and your stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in statistical modelling, as well as a tertiary degree in finance, actuarial or related discipline and knowledge of R and SQL.
