Bring your prior Risk experience and join the Global Enterprise Risk team as part of the Risk Management Group - Operational Risk team.
The Enterprise Risk team has a mandate to identify risks that sit across the organization and develop or enhance how we manage those risks. The team sets the appetite for enterprise-wide operational risks within Macquarie; performs active oversight of the risks and the implementation of the operational risk management framework, and; provides insight on the risk profiles across the enterprise and industry developments.
This role offers a unique and sought-after opportunity to have hands-on exposure to all Macquarie divisions globally, have access to senior risk and business stakeholders and influence risk thinking across the enterprise. Working closely with stakeholders across all of Macquarie businesses and support areas, you will help with the design of enterprise-wide solutions and frameworks via direct engagement with senior business and risk leads across Macquarie.
You will also support the implementation of enhancements to the Operational Risk Management Framework for enterprise wide risks (e.g. training, working group, committee co-participation)and be hands on in running working projects with stakeholders in achieving the team's enterprise wide risk objectives. You will maintain the framework, policy and guidance suite in association with enterprise-wide solutions, including assessing effective implementation and support the team to evaluate internal and external data to identify trends and emerging risks that benefit from an enterprise-wide solution
You will be a hands-on problem solver with a degree in Finance or a related area. You will ideally have strong demonstrated experience in risk consulting, operational risk or audit. Being tenacious, flexible, with an ability to work independently in a fast paced, results driven environment will also assist in your fast transition into this role. Strong stakeholder management is key in the role as you will be working closely with the business as well as colleagues within the wider Risk Management Group.
The successful candidate will be working in a team which collectively have deep Macquarie expertise and reach and is highly regarded. The candidate will report through to the Senior Manager.
Risk Management Group is an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risk across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed. Its divisions include Credit, Prudential, Capital and Markets, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Compliance, Quantitative Applications and Internal Audit.
