Strategic Intent

• The Personal Banker role is phone based and works as part of a team focused on growing our wealth management business through new and existing clients
• Manage a portfolio of Citigold clients by being their main point of contact for all banking enquiries including term deposits
• Onboard new clients and drive investment and mortgage referrals via various channels such as inbound and outbound calls, online enquiries and marketing initiatives
• This is an entry level role that potentially leads to a Relationship Manager role and a career in Wealth Management

Key Accountabilities

• Acquire and refer potential Citi Gold and Select Wholesale clients through term deposit enquiries
  
• Identify opportunities for investment and mortgage referrals
• Engage the support of specialists to provide technical advice to customers when necessary
• Take full ownership of customer requests and proactively follow up agreed actions with stakeholders
• Take responsibility for resolving issues with customer portfolios ensuring complete satisfaction of problem resolution
• Keep up to date with new banking products and services; their features, benefits and how these can be best offered to existing and potential Citigold and Select clients
• Keep up to date with financial markets and Citibank investment structures
• Meet and exceed assigned activity and sales targets
• Actively contact existing clients for term deposit maturities for retention as well as identify Wholesale clients
• Comply with established bank and external policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality and security of bank and client assets and information
• Maintain a high standard of accurate and error free work to avoid compliance breaches, including  reduction and minimizing critical errors and write offs
• Maintain a high standard of ethical conduct at all times
• Action day-to-day operational and administrative tasks as assigned
• Contribute to Retail Distribution operational efficiencies to enable Retail Distribution to achieve plan

 

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

• Degree in business or finance related subject is required
• Diploma of Financial Planning is highly desirable but not required
• Previous work experience in banking is highly desirable but not required
• Passion for financial markets
• Interest in pursuing a career in wealth management
• Phone Sales experience is preferable
• Passionate and hungry individuals who strive in competitive environment
• Mandarin speaking is highly desirable but not required
