The Senior Treasury Analyst manages the substantial investment portfolio and any borrowings required to fund long term projects or capital development. Management of the investment portfolio will provide exposure to a range of external fund managers and advisors.
Managing the relationships with external fund managers to ensure that investments are in line with mandated investment policy and returns are on track to achieve target returns is an important priority of this role.
Other key components of the role include
- proactively maximising investment returns
- management of working capital both short and long term requirements
- placing and redeeming cash investments,
- managing the level of foreign currency holdings
Operating with substantial autonomy the Senior Treasury Analyst is expected to be proactive in maximising investment returns, mitigating risk and continual development of treasury policy.
Management of the cash flow forecasting process is an important aspect of the role, with the Senior Treasury Analyst having overall responsibility for the compilation of the information required to complete the forecasting process and management of funds to ensure short and medium term funding needs are met.
Experience in the treasury function of a substantial organisation with exposure to broad treasury functions is essential, i.e. cash flow management and modelling, execution of transactions, monitoring and management of investments, exposure to the short term money market.
Your proactive approach and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders will be a major contributor to your success in achieving outcomes required.
Relevant tertiary qualifications are essential, membership of a recognised professional body e.g. Finance & Treasury Association, CFA, CA, CPA will be highly regarded.
