Our client, is a leading Australian financial institution who is seeking a dynamic Junior Risk Analyst with strong VBA and MS Excel skills to join their expanding team.
You will be a part of the Business Oversight team responsible for managing operational and market risks for the Global Business Market. 

Your role: 

• Controls and reporting across all products and locations for Global Markets including:
  • Monitoring new risk incidents that have been raised by the business
  • Trade transaction monitoring to ensure compliance with specific regulatory requirements
  • Tracking and reporting of activities aligned to internal policies and standards
  • Preparation of operational risk management metrics to be reported into risk governance forums
• Support the Business Oversight team activities including:
  • Continuous assessment and improvement of the control environment across Global Markets
  • Seek productivity improvements in existing control activities and risk reporting processes

To be successful in this role you will have the following: 

• Experience using MS Excel, and VBA programming
• The capacity to work in a busy, commercial, competitive environment and the ability to meet objectives / targets and deliver customer service
• A high performing Commerce / Business Graduate with up to 12 months experience 
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong conceptual, analytical, research and problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong systems and Excel skills
• Ability to implement and improve processes from a risk and controls perspective
