About the Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive Lending Specialist to assist in managing a small group of Business Banking Managers & their respective customers’ needs. The Lending Specialist plays a critical role in the Small Business Banking team, focusing on supporting Business Banking mangers, building customer advocacy and providing solutions to meet customer needs.
Some of the core accountabilities include, however not limited to;
- Preparation of lending applications and credit submissions to generate loan documentation relating to new and existing facilities for Small business customers
- Work in partnership with the Business Banking Managers to manage customer requests end to end liaising with business partners and stakeholders as required
- Primary point of contact for day-to-day customer management and resolution of all customer enquiries and requests in a timely and effective manner
- Building of networks with external partners and customers and building of internal networks
- Maximise revenue opportunities through identification and conversion of cross sale opportunities
- Ensure compliance to all the Bank’s policies and procedures, particularly lending and transactional
What we need from you
We are looking for someone who has ideally developed experience within a business banking support role, experience in retail lending or has developed experience in a related role. You will have an understanding of financial statements and business drivers as well as an ability to learn complex lending structures.
In addition to the above you possess exceptional communication skills with a genuine customer focus. The Bank of Melbourne Business Banking team has an ultimate focus on helping our business customers grow within Australia; you not only understand this, but you have the passion and desire to help make it happen.
