Your new company
This company are a global bank based in Sydney CBD and have a large corporate and institutional client base.
Your new role
Within this role, you will support the ongoing development and implementation of effective compliance processes and procedures for the bank. Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Review compliance procedures, polices and other related documents and make recommendations to improve the compliance framework
- Draft necessary amendments and enhancements to policies and procedures currently in place. Ensure they are tailored to satisfy regulatory requirements and assist with implementation
- On‐going review, implementation, tracking and reporting of laws, regulations and rules in the region and on‐going compliance with such requirements
- Provide advice and promote awareness of compliance risk and regulatory issues with relevant stakeholders
- Provide support and assistance with AML/KYC/CTF activities as required.
- Provide advisory support to relevant business units within the bank
- Develop and deliver in‐house training to promote awareness of key compliance issues as required.
- Development and implementation of compliance monitoring programs.
- Ensure all compliance processes comply with all relevant bank rules and regulations and any other legal requirements and ensure adequate internal controls are in place.
- Assist with timely compliance‐related organisation‐wide reporting
What you'll need to succeed
- A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Law, or Finance
- 5 year’s compliance experience in banking or financial services
- Understanding of Australian financial market and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent Attention to detail
- Ability to communicate with a wide array of stakeholders
