This Accounting and Wealth Management business is located in an affluent Inner Eastern Suburb of Melbourne and has a vacancy for an Associate Advisor due to business growth
As this business was established over 20 years ago they have a very loyal client base who are predominantly high net worth individuals and business owners who have an expectation of exceptional service
The business is passionate about quality advice and compliance and have their own AFSL.
They offer a great working environment and providing opportunities for their staff to take ownership and build a long term career.
The director of the Financial Planning business is at capacity with his clients and needs an Associate to eventually hand over some of his clients to. You will also have an opportunity build relationships with the internal mortgage brokers and accountants in the office, and with their client referrals you can build on the book of clients that are handed to you.
This role is very diverse, some of your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Attending client meetings with the Director to build relationships with his client
- Brainstorming strategy with the Director after each meeting
- Financial modelling of scenarios
- Writing SOA requests and submitting to external paraplanners
- Checking the SOAs when they are complete
- Reviewing investment reports for clients
- Being the first point of contact of all technical client enquiries
- Gradually taking over a portfolio of clients this may take 120-18 months or 3 years depending on your experience
To be successful you will be degree qualified, with a minimum of 3 years Paraplanning or Advising experience, along with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
Xplan experience is highly desirable, but experience with complex Advice/SOA writing is essential. You will not be expected to write SOAs, but you must be able to quality check them
