About the business and the role
We are a partner owned financial planning practice, providing clients with a range of services and financial solutions. For 40 years we have delivered a reliable and consistent service where our process-driven strategies enable our clients to monitor and meet their Life Style Goals.
This role is perfect for a candidate who has worked within a financial advice firm for several years completing advice implementation. Experience with SMSF's would be highly regarded although it is not essential.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Your main responsibilities would include:
- Support Financial Adviser(s) through efficient management of day to day tasks
- Managing Client Reviews and Reports
- Liaising with Fund Managers and insurance providers to collect information
- Implementation of advice recommendations including the management of insurance applications, share trading and managed funds.
- Knowledge in preparing RoAs is desirable
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and responding to client queries
- Maintenance of client database with client information (Xplan)
- Ensure client files are compliant as per dealer group requirements
Skills and experience
In order to be successful in this role you will need to have the following:
- A solid understanding of the Financial Planning industry with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience is preferred.
- RG 146 completed (or in progress) is desirable.
- Exceptional client services skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
- Ability to prioritise your workflow and work autonomously.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
- Clear and articulate verbal and written communication skills are an absolute must for this position.
- Previous experience with Xplan or similar financial planning software.
- An excellent work ethic, with the desire to build a career.
