Policy Advisor
Great opportunity for a Policy Advisor with 2 years experience in an advisory role within financial services, risk, AML/CTF or sanctions experience. You will be working for a supportive company in a team that will offer broad exposure across the business.
Your role as Policy Advisor includes the following responsibilities:
- Provide technical knowledge and expertise on the policy and operational aspects of financial crime matters incorporating Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorism and related legislation
- Perform risk assessments
- Reviewing and updating the AML/CTF Program and AML/CTF Policy and procedural documents at least annually, or any time that the risk assessment is reviewed.
- Regularly reviewing and updating the AML/CTF Employee Due Diligence and Training Framework.
- Facilitating the independent review of the AML/CTF Program at least every 2 years.
- Determining, strategically, how particular products and services will be treated from a risk perspective.
- Reviewing and updating the AML/CTF controls.
- Monitor developments and emerging issues in financial crime and AML/CTF laws and regulations and industry best practice.
You will bring to the role of Policy Advisor strong technical skills and soft skills:
- Experience in financial services, risk, AML/CTF or Sanctions experience
- Experience with highly regulated businesses
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant industry
