About the role

Reporting to the GM Distribution, the role has responsibility for :

  • Developing growth strategies and plans
  • Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients
  • Increasing our client base
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of our product, technical application and value proposition
  • Writing business proposals
  • Negotiating with stakeholders
  • Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs
  • Researching business opportunities
  • Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements
  • Ensure clean and accurate record keeping on CRM
  • Lead the sales process of campaigns and/or sales initiatives 
  • Provide senior management on areas of business improvements or customer feedback 
  • Attend conferences and events on behalf of Generation Life

Skills and experience

 

  • Qualifications in commerce/finance - diploma or degree 
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in financial services (essential) 
  • Pre-existing relationship with Financial Advisers in Sydney CBD and surrounding areas (essential)
  • High level of professional conduct
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work with a team 
  • Self-directed, motivated, proactive with strong initiative
  • Experience working to and exceeding targets
  • Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy
