Working with a group of people who love what they do, enjoy the environment where they do it in and are amongst the best of the people in the industry....a good start? We're looking for a quantitative analyst who wants to work on portfolio construction, modelling and strategy - essentially, you're going to be the 'numbers person' for this asset consulting house. Anything to do with modelling, quant and strategy will come to you and the your team. There's more than one quant, so you'll have others to work with.
Supporting the Asset and Investment Consulting team you're role will be to provide quantitative support to key clients and work with the senior consulting team to solve modelling problems. Other stuff you'll be doing:
• Building and researching quant tools
• Producing model portfolio construction and performance reports for clients,
• Producing quantitative presentations for business development activities One-off
Everything in this role is about being able to communicate, model and solve problems. You'll need to be familiar with Matlab and be able to code, however, the most important skill needed is your ability to take client data and create investment scenarios and portfolios to demonstrate changed in economic conditions.
Who wants to apply?
This role suits someone who loves to involved in the modelling and strategy. If you've worked in fund manager, asset consultant and/or vendor side systems then it's an obvious fit. If you're coming from performance or investment analytics, that's good as well. The ideal background will have elements of all these things and also the ability to work with clients. A CFA etc. etc. is also great, but you've got to know your ARCH from your GARCH and your Sharpe from Sortino Ratio.
