About the Role: 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Mortgage Lending Officer  to join the team.  Due to increase in volumes we are looking for a Mortgage Lending Officer for our Perth Office. 

In this role you will be responsible for providing timely, efficient and accurate retail lending. You will also will act as a liaison between BOQ and the Broker. The position entails processing incoming loan applications from Brokers for both new and existing customers. 

Working as part of a supportive, high performing team you will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing incredible customer service.
  • Liaising with brokers.
  • Assessment and processing of loan applications.
  • Accurate and timely assessing of document preparation and processing relating to all lending applications.
  • Identification of fraudulent applications and potential fraud trends.
  • Compliance with all regulatory obligations including the National Consumer Credit Protection Act, Privacy Act and Anti-laundering requirements.
  • Establishing relationships with existing broker and Third-party networks and assisting in generating new business opportunities for Finance One. 
  • Keeping company credit exposures within pre-determined risk bearing limits.
  • Conferring with Credit Associations and references to exchange credit information on clients. 
  • Review employer reference status and self-certification certificates along with valuation reports;
  • Respond quickly and helpfully to all internal and external enquiries;

To be successful in this role you will have proven lending experience and the below skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Excellent and Proven customer service skills and confidentiality at all times
  • Previous consumer lending experience
  • Proven knowledge of lending procedures and processing loan applications
  • Ability to work within a team environment and achieve results
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Possess strong attention to detail and task completion
  • A strong passion to succeed
  • Excellent Time Management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm and professional
  • A professional manner is upheld at all times via telephone, mail, email, and fax.
  • Meeting individual monthly KPI's
