About the role
The Key Leadership role within our Planning and Markets Transformation team will be responsible for leading the delivery of operational (systems, processes, resourcing, governance) changes required as a result of ongoing direction from regulators and industry bodies.
You’ll work closely with the General Manager in;
- designing the end-to-end approach
- coordinating delivery across a wide range of stakeholders
- providing regular reporting
- escalating issues and risks
- engaging with regulators & other external party’s
Further to this, your broader responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Active leadership in monitoring and maintaining status against Statements of Commitment across various voluntary Codes.
- Decision making responsibility - provide advice across a variety of diverse tasks based on the application of judgment, eg: Accreditation, Markets Guidance Portal and Enforceable Undertaking uplift across broader Markets asset classes.
- Influence and collaborate across the Enterprise, including, senior stakeholders in Markets, Risk, Compliance etc. to identify and escalate issues and propose / implement requirements.
- Lead remediation of non-compliance, including management and implementation of requirements across Markets and supporting areas.
- For activity relating to regulatory requirements for change (e.g. FX EU, BBSW EU, Royal Commission)
About you
As the successful candidate you will be tertiary qualified in a Business related discipline and hold a post graduate designation (CA, SIA, MBA). You’ll have 10+ years’ experience within either Financial Markets or Investment Banking, with a deep understanding of the markets business, their regulatory obligations and an understanding of Risk outcomes in a complex and changing international environment.
You’ll be an excellent communicator with a proven ability to influence and drive stakeholder outcomes and possess deep Program / Project Management skills combined with an ability to solve large and complex problems. A background in governance, legal or regulatory affairs would be highly regards.
