Our Residual Value Risk team located in Head Office (St Leonards) is currently seeking to appoint an experienced Quantitative Analyst to provide analytical, reporting and modelling support.
Reporting to the Residual Value Risk Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing reports in SAS for the Finance/Disposal team, running SAS scripts to estimate and determine expected sale price for provision for major customers, running SAS and SQL to produce monthly reports including profit & loss, error tracking etc
- Support and enhance the modelling on Vehicle Valuation, Provision & Budgeting. Run stress testing models and develop new models
- Ensure the residual value is updated in sales’ system and maintain risk database
- Partner with Enterprise Risk on Risk Appetite Frameworks, KRIs and Stress Testing
- Provide operational support & Ad hoc Analysis, conduct Residual Value Recommendation and support preparation for the Residual Value Committee
- Provide analytical expertise and support by participating in cross functional Kaizen activities and contribute feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement and efficiency
- A degree in Statistics, Actuarial, Mathematics or similar
- Strong analytical skills, experience in business use of statistics is a pre-requisite as is strong working knowledge of SQL, SAS / R / PYTHON
- Strong modelling skills & experience is essential (2 years+)
- Strong experience in Reporting Data Management (2 years+)
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, able to articulate complex analytical information
- Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and work under pressure to achieve deadlines
