The Practice

Kingston Financial Planning Pty Ltd is a privately owned, specialist financial planning practice focussed on providing holistic strategic advice, retirement planning, wealth management and ongoing services to individuals, families and business owners at each stage of their life.

About the role

A full-time or part time position (minimum 20 hours) is now available for an experienced Financial Planning professional with well developed paraplanning and technical skills.

The purpose of the role will be to prepare personalised advice documentation and financial plans within quality advice standards to meet client’s goals.  You will work closely with the Certified Financial Planner to ensure client's lifestyle aspirations and financial planning needs are fulfilled at each stage of their financial life..

We are looking for individuals who can work effectively in a small office environment with the ability to multi-task and take charge to ensure delivery of excellent client service.

The main duties of the role will include:

  • Timely completion of advice documentation (SOA's and ROA's)  including conducting research and modelling of strategies within Licensee quality advice guidelines
  • Complete ongoing advice documents (ROA's) for strategy revisions and investment alterations. Prepare documentation for ad-hoc client requests.
  • Compile SOA's and ROA's and transaction documentation for client meetings.
  • Coordinate financial planning strategy and working papers for submission to external paraplanning team where needed.
  • Preparing information for client reviews including updating of client data in XPLAN and preparation of on-track analysis for client strategies.
  • Managing work flows and compliance processes within quality advice guidelines

To be successful in the role it will suit candidates with the following attributes

  • Have at least 2 years practical experience in a financial planning support role applying a wide range of strategies ,
  • Hold a finance related degree or completion of DFP is  highly desirable, but not essential
  •  The role will suit results driven individuals, who are conscientious, highly organised with an inquisitive approach to their work.
  • Strong client service ethic and ability to plan ahead
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and highly developed analytical skills
  • Possesses highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with XPlan or similar CRM and portfolio management software is desirable as is a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.

It is essential that candidates can apply a strong working knowledge of superannuation, investments, Centrelink, risk insurance, financial products and legislative to support decisions in the financial planning process e.g. conducting needs analysis and strategy comparative analysis.

Salary will be negotiated dependant on skills and experience.
