My client is a renowned financial institution and seeking a market risk analyst to work in their traded market risk oversight team. The position will involve oversight and monitoring of traded market risks and risk management processes associated with equities and interest rates. This is a unique opportunity for a graduate in quantitative finance or someone with less than 2 years of experience in financial risk analytics and looking to move into traded market risk.
Key Duties
- Support the production and delivery of market risk reports to senior stakeholders and regulators.
- Assist in the development of internal models and limit frameworks for market risk
- Analyse data and report market risk exposures
- Enhance market risk systems (VaR, Greeks sensitivities)
Ideally the incumbent will be expected to have exposure across a variety of vanilla and exotic products in either interest rates, FX, commodities, futures, equity and index. Candidates will also have
- Strong programming skills SQL or Python
- Sound knowledge of SQL database. Querying and extracting data.
- Academic qualifications (preferably postgraduate) within a quantitative discipline (mathematics, statistics, physics, quant finance or econometrics).
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong interest in financial markets with respect to market risk analytics. Masters graduates in quantitative finance or risk management would be ideal candidates.
