The Department of Justice provides an effective justice system by delivering programs and services which contribute to building safe communities and the protection of rights. The Department of Justice Strategic Finance team is comprised of Finance Business Partnering, Management Accounting, Treasury and External Reporting, Financial Reporting, and Finance Strategy.

  

 About the role

 

As the Principal Analyst you will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of high quality advice, reports, evaluation and analysis to support decision making and program implementation in the NSW Justice Cluster. You will also be responsible for the delivery of quantitative and qualitative analysis and developing evidence-based executive reports for in-scope Justice Cluster reform programs.

About you

 

We are looking for someone with considerable experience in a senior program/project management role within a complex, challenging environment. You will also possess high level written and verbal communication skills, and be comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholder groups – both internal and external to Government. To be successful in the role you will also have:


  • Extensive experience in presenting and interpreting data and statistical analysis for executive reporting.
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Understanding of NSW Government budgetary processes and financial management policies would be advantageous
  • Best practice in project and change management experience and capabilities.
