The Department of Justice provides an effective justice system by delivering programs and services which contribute to building safe communities and the protection of rights. The Department of Justice Strategic Finance team is comprised of Finance Business Partnering, Management Accounting, Treasury and External Reporting, Financial Reporting, and Finance Strategy.

  

 About the role

 

As the Senior Analyst you will be responsible for providing assurance on major reform programs and project progress through analysis of reporting; and validation of information contained in the ePMO tools with the Finance/Analytics team. Key to the role will be providing timely, expert commentary and reporting on in-scope reform programs, milestones, updates, reform progress, benefits, risks, finances as well as potential roadblocks to support strategic decision making.

About you

 

You will have proven experience in providing high level advice, analysis and reporting on major reform programs and projects ensuring critical reporting deadlines are met without compromising the quality of analysis provided. You will have an ability to work collaboratively across the department maintaining positive working relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring adequate levels of consultations for reform related matters.

 

Essential requirements

 

·    Experience in a program/project management role within a complex and challenging environment

·    Demonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis and reporting to executives

·    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
