About The Role
Role Location: 242 Pitt St, Sydney NSW 2000
Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time
 
As an Associate Director, Client Insights for Financial Institutions, Markets, you will support the development and delivery of data driven client insights and solutions for Financial Institutions clients across Markets Australia.
 
This is a generalist data analytics role that will see you engage and collaborate with the business and existing Technology and Data groups to accelerate the delivery of actionable intelligence and client solutions.  You will role model the required behaviours and culture necessary to provide a balanced outcome across high performance, risk and client goals.
 
You must have an entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable operating as a change champion. You would be expected to analyse front office and client needs and work with teams to design and deliver tools to generate better outcomes.  You must also have the ability to educate a broader audience around technical aspects of data solutions and architecture.
 
About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: 

• Prior experience in a data science role is an advantage but not essential.
• Experience with programming in Python and/or Java, and exposure to KDB/Q an advantage. Familiarity with cloud based machine learning techniques and algorithms. Experience with data visualisation tools and reporting dashboards (e.g. Kx). 
• Post-graduate degree in applied statistical methods, computer or data science
• Proven ability to investigate complex problems, identify solutions and then diligently plan and execute in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams to drive customer focussed solutions.
• High level of integrity, with a keen awareness of the ethical and governance considerations surrounding data use.
