A new opportunity now exists for someone with good lending skills.

We are looking for an experienced lender to join our core team and help service a large mortgage book of traditional mum and dad mortgages. The company is Multi Choice Mortgage Brokers, a 20-year old mid-sized family-owned business with four office locations. The culture of the company is friendly, flexible, professional and supportive with a strong emphasis on a happy working team environment. 

We are looking for an energetic finance/mortgage broker who understands both business and residential lending to join our team with a long term perspective in order to promote our brand and develop long-lasting customer relationships.

You may currently fall into one of the following three categories:

(A) You’re a current banker - You are currently working as a business banker or mobile lender but you are seeking new employment because you are very keen to get out of the ever increasing demands of the corporate banking world and into something fresh with less of the unnecessary tedious reporting and with more customer focus; with family values, flexibility and a happy team environment.  Or,

(B) You’re a current contractor - with ample lending experience in both banking and mortgage broking. You are currently working as a contract mortgage broker or finance broker but are looking to move back into an employed lending role within a stable team based mortgage business.  Or,

(C) You’re a current banker – but you are wanting a change and would like to pursue a mortgage broking career as a self employed broker.  You have thought of moving into finance or mortgage broking but haven’t yet because it’s risky and you need some assistance in order to get started.  For the right candidate, we are prepared to create a very low risk stepped approach to help get you started.

The role requires a confident personality with excellent communication skills who is able to drive new business and successfully convert leads. You will be someone who understands all facets of lending and credit reasoning and will therefore be confident in front of clients, guiding them to make the correct decisions with their business and personal finance needs. You will also be someone who takes responsibility for your own efforts and are therefore self-motivated both in and out of the office.  There are three essential elements to success in this role: client empathy, honesty and a team approach.

What you offer is:

• 3-5 years finance or mortgage broking experience
• Or >5 years lending experience within a bank
• Certificate IV in Finance/Mortgage Broking
• Tertiary qualification in a related field (preferred)
• Strong business lending background & leasing experience (preferred)
• A good team player with a long term perspective
• Excellent sales skills
• Excellent credit knowledge
• Strong analytical and numerical skills and attention to detail
• A passion for finance and financial problem solving
• A strong appreciation for client service, client empathy, client integrity and authentic client relationships with an ability and desire to develop long standing client relationships
