Financial Planner - North East VIC Region

  • Prior experience in a financial planner position – minimum of 2 years preferred

  • Strong knowledge of legislation and compliance regulations for the Financial Planning industry
  • Relevant industry qualifications – CFP or currently working towards CFP is highly regarded

This is a profitable and well established financial planning practice that offers a solid range of financial and superannuation services to their clients.

This position may also suit an Adviser wanting to come back into the industry after a break in a part time capacity which may also suit the current business model.

In this varied role your main responsibilities will include:

  • Account management of existing clients, such as queries, annual reviews and addressing change in requirements.

  • Managing a number of Self Managed Super Fund clients and their portfolios

Applicants must be confident in their ability as a financial planner, and have a strong financial services background. You must be PS146 compliant and DFP qualified as a minimum . SMSF accredited is also preferred given we already have a number of existing clients with portfolios requiring ongoing account management.Training can be provided to attain the qualification required in this role.

As a financial planner you will service a range of clients in an existing client base, being mainly pre and post retirees; and from accumulators to more sophisticated SMSF clients with considerable assets. The main responsibility of this role is servicing, however your contribution to organic growth and possible new clients would be looked upon favourably.

Your approach will need to be highly consultative sales style, and together with your professional presentation and strong communication skills, you will be able to build strong relationships with already established client base.

You may have been with a larger financial institution and you are looking to move into a boutique environment. It is likely that you hold the ADFS or Grad Dip in Financial Planning.

The successful candidate will be confident of proving themselves to the company within the 3 months probation period.
