A tier one Australian bank are looking for a Senior Manager to join their Enterprise Risk Management team to provide oversight and assist the business in developing, implementing and maintaining operational risk frameworks.
This role will assist in the design and implementation of sound operational risk governance structures, policies and processes as well as risk reports that will cover all the relevant risk categories (Operational, Market, Strategic, Credit Risk etc).
This role will be perfect for a Senior Manager coming from either banking, insurance, super or consultancy who wants to take on a new challenge where you get the opportunity to make a real difference to the bank.
You will:
- Be responsible for implementing the ERM framework across the group
- Develop key relationships in the business in order to influence risk strategy
- Oversee and monitor the operation of the ERM framework across the group
- Identify Key Controls, Incident Management development and KRI reporting as well as reporting on operational risk losses and scenario analysis
- Perform second line assurance across the first line and control self assessment
- Deliver risk management training to the business
You will have:
- Excellent understanding of the Australian financial services industry
- Strong risk management experience across banking, insurance and asset management
- Experience in a 2nd line of defence position
- Compliance experience in a super or insurance company would be beneficial but not essential
- 8+ years in a risk, compliance, internal/external audit or assurance position
- Experience in coordinating and writing risk or audit reports
- Management experience and comprehensive knowledge of risk management frameworks, risk management and measurement methodologies
