Reporting directly to the Head of Quantitative Solutions, the role will work closely with all investment areas: equities, asset allocation, fixed interest, public markets, private markets, and responsible investment. The Quantitative Solutions Team is responsible for developing quantitative investment strategies, developing quantitative research capabilities and providing analytical support to Cbus’ Investment Team.
The successful candidate will have strong quantitative background as demonstrated by a postgraduate qualification in a quantitative discipline, such as Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or Quantitative Finance, in conjunction with preferably 2-5 years of industry experience in a superannuation, funds management, investment banking, treasury, or consulting environment. Experience in or a good understanding of at least one of the following areas is advantageous: equities, fixed interest, private markets, asset allocation, or quantitative risk management.
Ideally, the candidate will have prior experience in conducting market analysis, developing quantitative strategies, and/or quantitative modelling of investment decisions. Programming experience in one of the following is essential: Python, R or Matlab.
