This leading finance company is currently looking for experienced credit professionals to join there rapidly growing team in the Sydney region. They look to empower their employers by allowing you to obtain a DLA and work autonomously using your strong decision making ability. Given the nature of the lending they look to bring on candidates who have a broad and diverse exposure to both simple and complex mortgages meaning the team and management are highly skilled mentors.
  
The Role
  
You will be managing the application process for mortgages from the initial broker contact through to the final stages of underwriting. The role allows a very hands on and personalised approach given the nature of the work but although quantities are lower than big banks, quality is of crucial importance. You will need to show a very deep understanding of lending policies and be able to work in the ‘grey area’ of credit with confidence in your decisions.
  
Duties

• Assess the risk of the loan within credit policy
• Build and maintain healthy and prosperous broker relationships
• Make decisions on loans within your DLA
• Work closely with BDM’s and brokers

Skills and Competencies

• 3+ years’ experience underwriting mortgages
• Strong understanding of NCCP
• Ability to ensure you and colleagues are compliant
• Good problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication level
• Be able to coherently explain credit policies
• Strong commercial acumen
