EY DnA is looking for an experienced Big Data Architect in Melbourne, who enjoys a challenge and are keen to work in a professional and collaborative environment.
About the role
Being at the forefront of technology we are now helping our clients move from traditional data warehouse environments onto big data platforms or are helping create hybrid environments combining old and new technologies. This is an exciting time that involves new sets of problems and leveraging our knowledge of traditional environments and pushing the boundaries of big data and analytics.
About you
You will have past experience as Data Warehouse Architect participating in full life-cycle projects with exposure to such activities as defining requirements, data modelling and have acted as the liaison between the business and technology teams. You will have a strong interest (or recent experience) working within Big Data environments and understand how the old and new platforms can coexist moving forward. This is a great opportunity to gain hands on experience with some of the most innovative projects in Melbourne.
The ideal candidate will have all of some of the following:
- Experience in traditional DW environments- Teradata, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Exposure to ETL solutions such as Datastage, Informatica, ODI, Map/Reduce
- Experience working on Big Data platforms / Hadoop / Azure etc.
- Experience developing Big data configurations, architectural diagrams and proposals
- Understanding of Big Data software environment such as Hadoop, NoSQL, Hive, HBase, Sqoop and other ecosystem tools.
