Financial Counsellor


I am urgently looking for a Counsellor with experience working in financial counselling. You will be working with people facing financial difficulty to help them address their financial problems and make informed choices. You will be providing one on one case work including the provision of information, advocacy, refferals and community education.
Amongst other duties, within this role you'll focus on networking;liasing with service providers; initial assessments; team work. experience of working within a wide and culturally diverse community.

You must have a tertiary qualification in social work, community welfare, counselling or similar.

• must be a car driver
• must have completed the Financial Counselling course
• must have FCAN membership or eligibility to join 
• high level written and verbal communication skills,
• exceptional time management skills
• high level ability to liaise, develop and maintain relationships with professional groups including Community Services and other government and non-government stakeholders
• ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) organisations and communities
• commitment to continuous improvement and WH&S Principles
