Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced permanent full time Senior Revenue Officer to join the Revenue Services, based in the Finance Governance and Risk business unit.

The purpose of this position is the provision of specialist professional advice and support within the Revenue Services team, on all revenue matters with a focus on issuing infrastructure charge notices and ensuring that special charge agreements and infrastructure agreements are developed and administered, ensuring all revenue is raised and Council’s legislative and agreed obligations with respect to all revenue is met.

 About you

  1. Demonstrated substantial and relevant experience in a senior revenue or senior finance position.
  2. Demonstrated experience in conducting debt collection in accordance with an organisational policy.
  3. National (or federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old).
  4. Working knowledge of the Local Government Act 2009Planning Act 2017 and associated Regulations.
  5. Highly developed numeracy, verbal and written communication skills (including report writing) with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Detailed working knowledge of rating systems including differential rating and computerised rating systems.
  7. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.
