About the business and the role

Reporting to an Operations Manager within the Australia Branch of an APRA-authorised foreign Bank with local operations headquartered in Brisbane CBD. This role will provide support for all back office functions, however primarily dedicated to support to trade finance, loans settlements and remittance.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Process and settle Financial Market transactions (FX, MM, NCD)
  • Perform trade confirmations and verifications, match and settle all transactions before daily cut-off
  • On-board new clients and fulfil KYC/AML compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Process syndicated and bilateral loan settlements
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Skills and experience

We will be seeking to discuss this role with people who can best demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Financial Services or other relevant areas
  • 3+ years' experience within financial services operations
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential
  • High attention to details and time management skills
  • Strong  knowledge of SWIFT, EXIGO and RITS systems
  • Result focused with a strong teamwork ethic
