The Role


Direct and coordinate activities of Orient Capital in the Australian and New Zealand markets. Oversee the day-to-day operations and client relations teams and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders. Work closely with the Link Group Corporate Markets management and Technology and Innovations teams to outline, implement and deliver to strategic direction of the business. Develop relationships with new and existing client base to drive business opportunities across the Group. 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Business Management

  • Manage budget for Orient Capital to ensure efficient and effective allocation of resources
  • Establish, guide, direct and oversee a strategic plan for Orient Capital so as to advance the strategic objectives and  promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization

  • Identify and address problems and opportunities central to business success, and solve critical issues in Orient Capital
  • Represent Orient Capital with clients in a professional and confident manner
  • Manage ongoing key supplier relationships with vendors
  • Ensure key projects and programs of work are managed and implemented to scope, time and budget requirements
  • Identify opportunities to further strengthen relationships between clients and the business, and facilitate the implementation of these
  • Build relationships at highest levels to ensure enduring business affiliations, identifying and developing affiliations where appropriate

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Drive performance of employees within Orient Capital by setting clear expectations and goals, providing regular feedback and offering guidance and support for key initiatives where necessary
  • Role model customer first behaviours and embed in the team a customer first attitude in all interactions with external and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of the team by identifying and rolling out relevant training and opportunities for capability development
  • Ensure an appropriate internal engagement framework is implemented within your team and Peers to support greater empowerment and engagement, the sharing of ideas, provision of regular feedback and relevant business updates
  • Drive a culture which is aware of and proactively manages all types of risk across the organization
  • Demonstrate Link Group culture and values
  • Liaise with Link Learning & Development Manager to ensure staff have a comprehensive program of targeted training
  • Act as mentor to key senior staff and as a coach and leader to the whole team

    • Background in Investor Relations
