The Company 
This global superannuation and investments business are well-known for providing excellent services to their valued clients. They are currently looking for an ambitious Fund Accountant to join their team on a contract-to-permanent basis. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment and the company offers excellent career development. 

The Role 
This role will will focus on financial reporting and investment accounting, with responsibilities including but not limited to: 

• Reconciliation of trial balances, including bank and asset reconciliations.
• Maintaining the register for in-house custody assets, preparing and reconciling the daily cash flow reports to be sent to the custodian.
• Maintaining the General Ledger, clearing reconciliation items and posting journals
• Preparing monthly insurance premium.
• Monthly, quarterly and annual Trustee reports.
• Quarterly and annual APRA returns.
• Quarterly Fund PAYG installment calculations and BAS returns.
• Preparing statutory financial statements and managing audit queries.
• Other ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required

Skills and Experience 

• CA/CPA qualified or studying towards qualification
• Previous experience in a Fund/Investment Accounting role 
• Analytical mindset and good technical accounting knowledge 
• Strong Excel and systems experience 
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
