We are looking to engage a Finance Business Partner who will support the National Finance Manager and Account Director in the delivery of our client?s (NAB) operating plan. The annual operating plan consists of circa $500-600M opex spend with over 1,100 properties under management (large commercial offices, branches and business banking centres).


About the role;

The Finance Business Partner is responsible for the delivery of financial KPIs to Cushman & Wakefield client (NAB) while meeting high standards of service within contractual obligations. This role will be accountable for providing commercial and financial advice, with a focus on partnering internal and external stakeholders, ensuring quality service and delivery efficiency, value-add solutions.

  • Timely and accurate completion of journals to form the monthly P&L position.
  • Detailed review and analysis of monthly variations to budget.
  • Provide clear and concise commercial analytics to respective stakeholders.
  • Support each business stream to complete their annual budget with a particular focus on Commercial Real Estate and Facility Maintenance costs.
  • Identification and tracking of potential risks and opportunities that may impact the operating result. This will come from actively engaging with stakeholders on a daily basis as their Finance Business Partner.
  • Solve complex issues and client requests, making recommendations that add value.
  • Ability to chair monthly meetings and stand in for the Finance manager as required.

About you;

You will need a strong commercial background operating at GM level. You will have the competence to perform with a high level of independence on a day-to-day basis, also, aptitude to exercise judgement that will impact the organisation. 

  • Natural ability to build strong customer relationships through outstanding stakeholder engagement
  • Experienced Qualified Accountant (CPA/CIMA/CFA or CA)
  • Skill to deliver clear and concise commercial analytics, including presentations to the client?s leadership team (monthly management results, annual budget and other ad-hoc reporting)
  • Capacity to deal with ambiguity and address problems within a changing work environment
  • Practical communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Robust commercial approach to value-added delivery
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills essential. Prior experience of Power BI and JDE would be an advantage.
