Your Role

As the Senior Manager you will empower the Traded Products Change Team to support the delivery and ongoing optimisation of the business configuration of the Global Market Systems. This highly influential role will ensure Market Operations continues to deliver superior customer service with the highest level of Automation and mitigating all risks.

In this role your Core responsibilities include:

Service Delivery

• Managing technical SME’s to ensure delivery of project outcomes
• Managing work allocation using operational capabilities best practices to ensure end to end processes are providing experiences our customers love

Leadership

• Manage and lead a number of SMEs within the portfolio
• Role modelling productivity and management through data insights

Governance and Stakeholder Management

• Foster relationships with partners in Market Operations to efficiently deliver excellent client service on a day to day basis
• Engage with Business Partners to build a landscape view of projects impacting the Market Operations portfolio and prioritise in collaboration with BAU and project stakeholders

Risk

• Embed and role model a culture of risk management
• Proactively ensure controls are robust and designed effectively
• Minimise and manage operational risks in accordance with our values and regulations

The key strengths we are seeking: 

• Leadership and executive management within a financial services organisation, ideally financial markets
• Executive stakeholder management, influencing and negotiating experience
• Strong fiscal management capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strategic thinking and proven experience in the formulation and implementation of major initiatives

We're interested in hearing from people who have

• A Broad understanding of Middle Office and Operations functions, its various streams and their requirements.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Financial Markets products (in particular but not exclusively, Interest Rate Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, FX Commodities & Equity Derivatives) & processes and a thorough understanding of related risks;
• Thorough understanding of the lifecycle management of Derivative FX and Commodity products including execution, monitoring, settlement and asset servicing protocols
• Experience working with both Agile & Waterfall project methodologies and a tertiary qualification / professional accounting qualification would be an advantage.
