Risk & Compliance Analyst

Talenza has been engaged to source a Risk and Compliance Analyst for a Sydney based Leading FS FinTech Application player with Big 4 Bank’s Backing taking on the likes of Apple and Google. This is a great role where you will be part of a team that is responsible for challenging the ‘What If?’ and providing the Business & Leadership Team with a valued risk advisory capability.
The role will consider the competing stakeholder requirements including customer engagement, risk management, underwriting, marketability, competitiveness and profitability in providing advice on Managed Fund Workers Compensation. It is incredibly commercial and requires someone just as commercial to come on board. We are ideally looking for candidates with a more line 1 mindset.
What you will do:
- Risk assessments, Compliance monitoring, AML/CTF monitoring and analytics, Controls testing; and Risk & compliance advisory.
You will have the following skills and experience:
- 3+ years compliance experience - ideally in a retail banking environment or with an AFSL Holder.
- Working knowledge of financial services and related laws - including Corporations Act, ASIC Act, Privacy Act and AML requirements.
- Experience in digital technology and an understanding of cyber security risk would be highly regarded.
- A working knowledge of frameworks and setting up Risk and Compliance frameworks is required.
- A law degree or relevant tertiary qualification in business or finance would be highly regarded.
