We are seeking the expertise for an Executive Manager, Compliance Advice to join our Retail Banking Services (RBS), Compliance team.

Your team provides compliance support to business colleagues as they develop and improve CBA’s retail banking products and customer experiences across all distribution channels.

Your role operates at the forefront of all new products and distribution functionality and is rarely positioned on key projects which use the latest technology and seek to deliver premier customer experiences.

You will be responsible for leading a team of approximately six compliance professionals to provide advice on compliance with all financial services laws, regulations, codes as well as internal policies, CBA values and community expectations.

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, your role will allow you to fully demonstrate your substantial knowledge of financial services law and practice combined with your real passion for people leadership; ensuring the retention and well-being of your team while delivering quality compliance advice.

Day to day your duties will include:

• High quality people management of a team including HR Performance management and recruitment protocols
• Advise on compliance with new and existing regulatory obligations including Corporations Act, ASIC Act, Responsible Lending, Privacy laws, ePayments, Code of Banking etc.
• Draft compliance input for the Risk and Compliance Committees
• Provide strategic insights and effective advice to assist in enabling ongoing improvement of CRMF and other tools and policies
• Generate improvements in regulatory risk profile and/or regulatory costs by effective delivery of project outcomes and high quality partner management

If you have excellent commercial acumen and understanding of retail banking products, processes, customers and distribution with the proven ability to constructively challenge to ensure we continue to meet regulatory expectations and risk appetite, we would love to hear from you.

Demonstrated knowledge of financial services law and practice, including ASIC Act, Corporations Act, Code of Banking Practice, privacy, credit law and responsible lending regulations, e-payments Code, competition law, fair trading, and other relevant financial services laws and codes of practice, are essential to be successful in this position.
