Bring your Financial Markets experience and help us implement a large scale project, giving you exposure to a variety of our Commodities and Global Market businesses, products and systems.
In rolling out a new business function, Central Rates Management on a new Rates Management System, you will help to add efficiency and transparency to the large and logistically-complex task of assembling all of the required rates to accurately value the team’s substantial and diverse trading book on a daily basis.
You’ll be involved in analysing legacy systems rates collection / creation processes, translating required rates outcomes into Rate Management Systems configurations, identifying and specifying functional gaps in the system, validating & testing migrated rates processes, as well as co-ordinating wider testing of the system configurations with stakeholders outside of the team.
You will also be involved with documenting the Rates Management System configurations for broader corporate visibility and approval, contributing to the daily operations of production and taking action to comply with the team’s Rates governance framework. You’ll also regularly be tasked with reporting and tracking progress against a detailed rollout project plan, seeing you work closely with business teams as well as IT developers to ensure the veracity of systems functionality.
You will need to bring an appropriate tertiary qualification in a Commerce, Business or Finance discipline and knowledge of financial derivatives is essential, as is relevant experience in a business analyst capacity; preferably in new business implementation within financial services. If you can read Linux script and Python, this will be very highly-regarded. We’d like you also to have gained some experience in risk or operational control/technology function.
We work in a rapidly-changing business environment so it’s important that you retain high levels of detail and accuracy in your work. There will be both quantitative and qualitative aspects to this role so being able to solve a variety of issues is essential. You need to be commercial in your approach, able to work in a team and present as confident and outgoing to build strong working relationships at all levels.
